Johor Business School Advances Regional Research Partnerships through ICBEF2025

With the theme “Economic Resilience through Sustainable Business and Innovation,” the 5th International Conference on Business, Economics and Finance (ICBEF2025) served as a platform for sharing insights on strengthening economic resilience amid global change. The event gathered researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss inclusive growth, industrial development, and sustainable economic progress through innovation and collaboration.

Organized by the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) School of Business and Economics (SBE), the conference was supported by several partner institutions, including Johor Business School (JBS), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), as an official collaborator. The JBS delegation comprised Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shafie Mohamed Zabri (Dean), Dr. Noor Aslinda Abu Seman (Head of Academic Advancement), Dr. Umi Kartini Rashid (Head of Research Advancement & Development), and Pn. Nur Aniza Quantaniah Jusoh (Head of MBA Programme).

ICBEF2025 featured keynote sessions, recognized outstanding academic work through the Best Paper Award, and offered publication opportunities in reputable journals. JBS is proud that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shafie Mohamed Zabri received the Best Paper Award (Accounting & Finance Category) for his paper “Sustainable Financial Management Practices and The Development of Agile and Resilient Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)”
