Dr. MUHAMMAD ASYRAF HASIM embarked on his educational journey at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Business School (UniKL Business School), where he gained invaluable industry experience and solidified his reputation as a respected academician. Over nine years, Dr. Asyraf has excelled as a lecturer and researcher within the education sector, earning recognition in prominent academic publications.
Currently serving as the Head of the Department of Open and Distance Learning at the Centre for Continuous Learning and APEL, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, and holding the position of Senior Lecturer at Johor Business School, Dr. Asyraf is widely acknowledged for his expertise in marketing. His impactful contributions include delivering lectures, spearheading research initiatives, and guiding students under his supervision. Notably, he holds the distinguished title of Professional Technologist, certified by the Malaysian Board of Technologists, and is recognised as an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer.
Before assuming his current role at UTHM, Dr. Asyraf served as a manager in a real estate company, where he played a pivotal role in administering and managing finances. In 2015, he transitioned to UniKL Business School, taking on various significant roles, culminating in his position as Deputy Dean of Student Development and Campus Lifestyle. In this capacity, he oversaw students’ welfare, activities, residential matters, scholarships, and alumni relations while advocating for student admission programs and refining marketing strategies. Preceding this, he held the role of Head of Section for International Partnership and Industrial Linkages.
Dr. Asyraf’s unwavering commitment to these capacities has significantly contributed to the growth and success of the organisations he has participated in. A dynamic force in the workplace, he leverages his positive attitude and tireless energy to inspire and empower others to strive for excellence. Dr. Asyraf’s educational background is as impressive as his professional journey. He holds a doctorate in management (marketing), a master’s degree in International Business, and a bachelor’s degree in business technology from local and foreign universities.
