Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umi Kartini Rashid

ASSOC. PROF. Dr. UMI KARTINI RASHID is a lecturer in Technopreneurship and Business Management at Johor Business School, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), she is also the Head of Research Advancement and Development at Johor Business School. Her service with UTHM has entered its 16th year in addition to working experience in several Japanese companies for 7 years. Her early education began at Sekolah Tun Fatimah (STF) Johor Bahru and later continued her studies at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo Japan in Bachelor of Commerce and Management. She then pursued on her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the same University, before obtaining a PhD from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Sintok, Kedah Malaysia. She has also obtained Professional Certificate for Entrepreneurial Educators, Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning and is also a Certified E-Commerce Trainer, Global E-Commerce Talent (GET), Alibaba Business School in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Malaysia. Apart from that, she is also involved as a consultant in several corporate companies in the state of Johor besides being one of the members in the taskforce of the Malaysian Higher Education Entrepreneurship Action Plan 2021-2025.
